IBWU ONE TALENT INITIATIVE FOR ECONOMICALLY ACTIVE WOMEN – Uyo

 

IBWU Foundation and JCI Uyo City held The Graduation Ceremony for the One Talent Women Skills Acquisition & Empowerment Training at The Special Education Centre, Uyo on Friday 1st October, 2021.

The Graduation Ceremony witnessed a good turn out from the community, including, JCI Nigeria National President, National Vice President, Commissioner of Education representative, Principal of the Special Education Centre Akwa Ibom State, Trainers, Trainees and their families graced the event in beautiful outfits and number; several others joined us virtually.

The Chairman of the IBWU Foundation One Talent Initiative in Uyo City, JC Ekam Akpakpan (Vice President, JCI Uyo City), briefed the house on the IBWU Foundation One Talent Women Skills Acquisition and Empowerment, she emphasized that the program was put together via a collaboration between IBWU Foundation and JCI Uyo City. She further encouraged the trainees to advance their training experience and strive towards professionalism, thereby being a position to pass the baton to other women in future.

The National President JCIN Amb. Abiola Olorunnisola applauded IBWU Foundation and JCI Uyo City for impacting the community by empowering 40 women and training over 70 women. He urged the trainees to utilize the machines and knowledge in order to make positive impact in the community.

The Honorable Commission for Education represented by Mr. Efa Etuk expressed the Commissioner’s heartfelt and joy for the successful empowerment program. In his words, “with this empowerment program, IBWU Foundation & JCI Uyo City has empowered over 500 women”, as the people empowered will empower their relatives and families too by utilizing the machines giving to them effectively and efficiently. The event also commended the effort of IBWU Foundation, JCI Uyo City and JCI Nigeria at large for the brilliant transparent electoral processes.

The successes recorded wouldn’t have been possible without the endless support of IBWU Foundation and JCI UYO CITY.
